Situation
The market is improving in terms of capacity. Some carriers have restarted some of their services that were “blanked” in the past. The tender season is in full swing and carriers will try to limit the decline in ocean freight rates. However, with more capacity available in April, we will see further rate drops in the coming weeks, and space will be less of an issue compared to recent weeks.
Obstacles
Schedule reliability on this trade has been one of the worst in recent weeks, mainly due to the changes of routings and blank sailings.
Outlook/Solutions
Rates will continue to decrease in April and we do not expect that space will be an issue this month.
