The German Government plans to collect the distance based road tax as of 01.01.05.
The average charge per KM for trucks with a total weight of 12 Tons + will be € 0.124/km, calculated on the basis of rate tables published by the German Association of Forwarders. Since the German Road Tax will incur additional costs for administration etc., a percentage will have to be added in order to cover the additional costs.
The German Road Tax will be shown separately on our freight invoices to ensure the necessary transparency.
